Theatre and Cinema

1)  My take on a Theatre theme

1)  The first Theatre tag has several symbols. Firstly, I adore masks, and have made loads over the years. I also taught in Junior Primary schools, and learned first hand the power of Drama, Puppets, touring Theatre companies for children,....I also think our imaginations take flight and develop wings when we're exposed to ideas and experiences which challenge our every day perceptions.I also believe that enjoyment and laughter are powerful learning tools.

2) Increasingly, our experience of going to a movie theatre to see films, is becoming less. I see however, that movie theatres are still managing to stay open and be  there, so hopefully, we can still have that magic experience for many years to come. We have a cinema called the Capri Theatre in Adelaide which still has one of those wonderful theatre organs. It has all sorts of whizz bang percussion instruments connected to the organ, and the whole structure rises up on a platform when the organist begins to play.Magical!!

  8. I have to say I think I may be a little jealous of your talent. These tags are mini works of art. How lovely that Adelaide has preserved part of its cinema history.
