Autumn Fruits and Berries

Determined to continue stitching tags for Tag Tuesday, I was indecisive this week about this theme. The tag above, I just finished tonight and used a piece of sun printed fabric from a previous projects, stitched around the outline and couched on some velvet leaves and an autumn fruit.  The one below is my rather poor attempt at doing some wool embroidery - supposedly resembling some fruit - not sure if you can recognise an abstract  pear and a plum? I wasn't at all happy with this one, so that is why at the last moment, I did the second one. I haven't even looked at all the tags this week, so hopefully, can get to them before the next theme is up.

  1. I like both tags! The bottom one looks very "1970s crewel work." Very cool!

  4. Love them both Wilma, I like the outlining effect and the 3 dimensional additions. The second one reminds me of all the textile books for the 70s I have drooled over, Jan Beaney springs to mind :) Lovely!

  15. I love the stitched one, it has a real seventies vibe, I think because of the colours. Well done for sticking with the stitching, it inspired me to get the textiles out again!
