Clocks

I have been admiring the work of Anna Dabrowski who's blog can be found here and so I thought I would have a try to do an  overloaded tag. Not quite got her beautiful touch but it was fun to do and I liked putting the hinged extra piece on the bottom.

The base of the tag was made with the enamelling technique in Tim Holtz 2nd Compendium of Curiosities so I had better not say how I did it! However after all my work with the large clock stamp I promptly covered it up with a plethoria of clock stamps and pieces of corrrugated card and die cuts of cogs and dials some of which I used shrink plastic to minaturize. The bottom piece has an idea-ology metal clock face and also a metal tag attached to the ribbon at the top along with a little metal clock charm. Anna sprays BLACK ink on her creations sometimes!  I couldn't find the nerve to risk it so used Dyslusion brown and made some sprays with distress inks in various orange/brown shades.

I think I shall have to try for some more depth next time but it was fun heaping up  the layers.

I have had a peek and am impressed with the lovely clocks so far, but as I haven't  much TIME before work I will call back when I get in and leave comments! Hope you all have a lovely week with plenty of TIME to do the things you love, ie. Crafting! Hugs x
