Owls

For this week's tag I wanted to use a vintage owl image I had from the Graphic Fairy, but my printer ran out of ink, so I had to improvise with an owl stamp.  I had just used this stamp to make a card, which you can see here, and it was out and ready to ink.  The background was made with distress inks sprinkled with water, and the owls were painted with Twinkling H2O's.
I love owls, they are so mysterious, and I often hear them hooting in the woods by my house.  They say "Who cooks for you, who cooks for you who".  I was never sure what type of owl it was until recently.   I  went to a wildlife festival last week,  and one of the naturalists had a Barred Owl, and he said that was the call they made.  Apparently they are especially noisy this time of year because, although the young have become more independent  and go off a ways on their own, they check in with their parents by hooting frequently.  It can get really loud!

Great tags this week, can't wait to see next week's!

Thanks for all your lovely comments.
