Autumn Leaves, Acorns, and Conkers

Hello everyone! It is Thanksgiving here in Canada and I had a wonderful meal made by my beloved as I have been very sick. I am feeling a little better today and I finished my tag. I had finished a version of it yesterday, but I sprayed too much Glimmer Mist on and it did not have the affect I was looking for. So, now for something similiar but not anywhere near the last one. It is funny how the creative process goes. I went to Oak Ave ( a real place) and got acorns and oak leaves, but the leaves are so fragile, and I wanted my tag to last, so used these paper leaves that were given to me by a dear friend. I sprayed the leaves with glimmer mist and got some on the acorns, but liked the effect. I used vintage ledger paper dated October, a copy of a vintage McIntosh ad ( cannot remember source), a vintage sheet music circle and lace. I stamped the quote by Walt Whitman (one of my favourites) onto a fabric scrap and aged it with ink. I added some bling and fibre from Basic Grey. Here it is:
So now I am off to make tomorrows tag! Take care ! Here is a fall picture from a park near my home and the stanza from the poem by Whitman.
Hugs,
Ivy

"In the dooryard fronting an old farm-house near the white-wash'd palings,

Stands the lilac-bush tall-growing with heart-shaped leaves of rich green,
With many a pointed blossom rising delicate, with the perfume strong I love,
With every leaf a miracle -- and from this bush in the dooryard,
With delicate-color'd blossoms and heart-shaped leaves of rich green,
A sprig with its flower I break."
