Halloween

Happy Halloween Spooky Taggers! I hope you have all had a fab and crafty week and are keeping clear of the early onset of bugs, coughs & sneezes currently doing the rounds. But do 'Get Well Soon', if you're under the weather *hug*

As someone who doesn't 'do' Halloween, I wasn't sure initially how I would get on with this weeks theme but there are soo many ideas, tools & materials available it was relatively easy; and even more so when my lovely hubby came home on Saturday with some Halloween ribbon and a piece of beautiful black Halloween material which I promptly cut and stuck as the background for my tag. Yay hubby!

After it was dry I used some silver Stickles to highlight some of the web's lines.
My pumpkin was a freebie from Elizabeth Dulemba http://dulemba.blogspot.co.uk/2012/10/coloring-page-tuesday-steam-pumpkin.html which I coloured with Pro Markers. I used a bit of old chain for his monocle and I used Crackle Accents on the monocle lens. Unfortunately you can't see the crackle in the picture which is a shame as it does look quite good. Crackle Accents is a new product for me and an accidental one, I had meant to pick up the ordinary one. Good mistake eh.
I added a bit of my new ribbon at the top and some pumpkin coloured ribbon for the tie.
Thank you for looking and any hints & tips for improvement are always most gratefully received
Thank you also for the wonderfully kind & encouraging comments again last week.

Well I can't wait to see the inevitable masterpieces that will grace this blog this week, so until next time, have a spooktacular time! :0) *hug* x

  13. I really like this happy tag - very clever to add a monocle to the pumpkin and added to his jovial look.
