Rainy Day

Hi Everyone,
Well I'm running a bit behind as usual this week, but here is my Rainy Day tag, inspired by a story my husband told me about "Dancing Pennies". I think the term was "coined" (pardon the pun) by his Dad, who apparently always had an interesting way of putting things ...
Imagine you are driving along a wet road at night in the rain - the raindrops are caught in the headlights as they hit the puddles in the road and bounce up - that's when you will see the "Dancing Pennies" :o)
You watch next time and you'll see ...
This one was impossible to photograph - the tag shape was cut from acetate and coloured with alcohol inks, then scattered with raindrops made of gems, beads and irridescent Stickles, and I tried to capture the effect of "Dancing Pennies" dangling at the bottom (if you jiggle the tag under a light and squint your eyes a bit it works much better!)
I'm very impressed with all the rainy works of art - isn't it amazing how different they all are?
Cheerio for now
Annie x

  1. Gorgeous! Fun story too-- one side of my family used to say a real heavy downpour was soldiers marching in the street!

  5. Very lovely tag. The colours are beautiful, the raindrops very clever. The story is very interesting, I hope I remember it by the time I'm next in a car in the rain. :0)
