BROWN

Hi everyone,
The couple in this old photo have been in the family for years - they were amongst my grandmothers photographs and I am pretty sure the girl was the daughter of friends of theirs.  I'm not sure of their names but I think she may have been born in the 1920's and grew up with my father.  I am intrigued by them and wonder what the story was behind the photo - is he going away, has he just got home, was it war time...   I have never been able to throw it away, just in case I ever found out anything about them - so when I came across it while looking for things for this weeks theme, it seemed I had found the perfect use for it!
For the actual tag I liked the idea of keepsakes - perhaps he had a memento of her with him while he was away - a lock of hair or a scrap of lace - who knows!!!

I copied an old letter onto a manila tag and added some more torn letter.  I treated the background and the photo with distress ink and clipped together the photo, a piece of silk, a piece of torn letter and a fragment of lace.  The clip was then glued to the tag.

Thanks to everyone for leaving comments last week - I'm very much looking forward to seeing this weeks sepia tags!
