Celestial Wax Crayons

As soon as I saw the challenge I remembered my childhood and the crafting I did with my kids: making scratch art with wax crayons. It was so much fun and was a brilliant mess as the black wax crayon used to stick to light coloured shirts and jumpers brilliantly ... and it still does (lol)

I cut a little tag from leftover card, covered it with various wax crayons colours and over painted it with a thick layer of black crayon. Using a sharp object (the end of my craft scissors) the magic happened .... The final touches are a little bit of stamping, some raffia and star beads. Thank you for looking, have a lovely evening. Now off to check out all the other fabulous projects, Petra.

  6. How clever, you made your very own scratch picture! I used to love doing them with the boys. Very effective, the way you have only used the middle of the tag for that. Your writing is beautiful, wish I could write like that.

  8. This is really a marvelous technique, and worked beautifully with your tag. I introduced this technique to my girls when they were young too, and still use it with my students. Blessings!
