Letter P

WOW! This is my first post on
Tag Tuesday! How cool?!
Thanks to Carolyn for letting me join in on the weekly fun :)
For this weeks letter 'P' theme
I chose to design my tag around the word 'POPPY'.
Hope you like it!

I decided to base the design on the Remembrance Poppy
that's sold each year for the poppy appeal
by the Royal British Legion in the UK.
I wanted the poppy heads to look like they were falling
and so decided to make a large poppy head (shaker card style)
with the poem 'In Flanders Field' printed inside it.

(The poem was inspired by World War 1 and the poppy fields. It's a beautiful poem).

I then cut small gold and red poppy heads out
using my Silhouette Cameo and placed them inside,
so when you shake the tag the poppies fall around the poem
I have never made a shaker card before, but always up for a challenge
I set about creating the shape in my Silhouette Cameo software.
This is what I produced.

I used WOW Embossing Powder to give the
large poppy head and the word 'POPPY' a sparkle.

Thanks for looking

Jules
