Letter R

Ooops! Little late!
My little niece and nephew kept me busy
playing in the sun last weekend
when I went to stay with them!
So, I am a little bit behind this week but it was fun!
This week is the letter R,
so I chose Robin.

I went for a SteamPunk feel this week.
I used the Golden Molding Paste again
(I think I'm addicted, it's safe, it has no smell)  :)
I tried to create a bark type texture for the base of my tag.
I spread a layer of the paste onto two separate pieces of card
and stuck them together so the paste touched.
Once they had been firmly pressed together
I then pulled them apart to give me the texture.

I then painted over the top with acrylic paints in brown
and then to get a industrial look I rubbed bronze paint over
the surface and around the edge of the tag.
The cogs again had a layer of paste on them using a
palette knife to get the texture and then painted in
bronze once dry.
I used Antique Linen Distress ink on the edges.

The stamp is from the SteamPunk Christmas Set
designed by Sam Poole. I loved the little SteamPunk Robin
and so I stamped him on Silver card in black ink and then
embossed with clear embossing powders.
To get his little red belly I used a VersaMarker Pen
to colour it in and then used
WOW Primary Apple Red powder,
which as it's on the silver card it gives the red a real shimmer
I then stamped two more birds in gold this time and cut out the
wing parts which I then topped off with
silver layer on top to give the
bird some dimension.
I had some old clock parts so I added a few to finish him off
and to hide his Christmas holly in his hat.  :)

Thanks for all the kind comments last week!
I'm off to see what everyone else
has been up to with their R tags
