Italy

Already I noticed quite a few Towers of Pisa... Here is my tag for this week's "Italy" theme. Although I love working with fabric, this month I have reverted to paper, but with a look of fabric. I played with quite a few free images but decided on  Mona Lisa and Pisa. I incorporated them onto a background I made on art paper by drawing a pattern with permanent texta marker, adding rubbing alcohol to blur the lines and overstamping.  Not quite what I envisaged, but in the end it seems to fit with the images. I have enjoyed working more specifically to a theme... looking forward to the rest of the month!
Thanks for all the positive comments - I feel as though I know so many of you personally now.

  12. I love the ingenious way in which you incorporated the tower of Pisa into your paper doll tag. It really is amazing how we've gotten to know each other through our artwork, posts and comments. Blessings!

  13. Oh...making the Mona Lisa into an elongated "paper doll" and then superimposing the Leaning Tower of Pisa over it was a wonderful idea.
