Hi everyone! Never had to make anything related to the Roaring twenties before, but plenty of wonderful things to pick on. In the end I chose to illustrate the flapper girls. they must have loved looking so different and doing the wonderful dances and wearing those fabulous dresses. Good job I didn't live then, my figure is too 'curvy' to wear that style, but they sure looked good! I found some stamps that I used on an orange distressed background. Luckily there was even a newpaper cutting stamp for what a 'flapper' was!
The stamp set is by Artistic Outpost and I layered up the ladies with sticky pads. Then I found some swinging discs for the bottom and threaded up some beads to hang from the top. I'm off to Charleston my way through the day now! I loved all your Italy tags, can't wait to see what you have come up with for this week! Hugs x
Lovely tag Barb! Valerie

Ahh..this is gorgeous! It is a perfect tribute to those delicious flapper girls!
ReplyDeleteFun tag! I really like the flapper definition in the background too.
ReplyDeleteAll the elements work so well together. I especially like the definition of a 'Flapper'. I once went to a costume party dressed as a Flapper and won 1st place. I even did the Charleston!
ReplyDeleteThe tag is wonderful. I like the images but I think the background really works to set them off.

ReplyDeleteI love the beaded fringe you made for your tag. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteGreat tag, Barb! Love the colors and the Flapper description. Yes, I too am way too curvy for that style. I'm quite hourglass --even without a corset!
