Wedding

I am so late! During the really hot weather we had recently, I couldn't face being on the computer or in my craftavan, and it seems I got quite used to not doing anything ;-). It is much cooler now, thank goodness, and it was the first time in a couple of weeks, I think (I lose track of time quite easily here at the cottage), that I felt like doing a bit of crafting and actually getting a post done.

When I came across this photo of a young bride, I knew that was the one I had to use. She looks so sad, on a day when she should look radiantly happy, and immediately all kinds of stories went through my mind. Perhaps she was forced by her parents to marry a man she didn't love, just so that their family properties could be combined. Or perhaps on the morning of her wedding, her beloved was called away to war. Perhaps it was a shotgun wedding..........

Wishing you all a wonderful week and lots of summer sunshine, toodlepip xxx
