Mother And Child

Hello everyone. My apologies for not being here for a while. We are preparing to move and have had a sad event in the family over the summer, so I've only been getting back to crafting for a few weeks.

I made myself sit and think about this tag yesterday - in between packing boxes! My first thought was vintage and then I came across this photo of my daughter and I, that was my mind made up!

We lived in a seaside village in Wales when my daughter was born and this is us out walking on one of the local beaches. She was about 16 months old and just getting over chickenpox! She was covered from head to toe but luckily you can't really see the scars in this photo! She's now over 21 - doesn't time fly?

One thing: one of the word labels looks wrong in the photo but I did mean to do it! I thought it looked better at a 'jaunty' angle (which it does in real life!), I have to concede that maybe it looks a little odd. . . . . . .

A painted background with some crackle paste. The 'design' in the background was achieved by dabbing off some of the paint with a scrunched up plastic bag. The images are stamped in paint too. The little shell was collected on one of our many beach walks - we still do this now whenever the opportunity arises!

That angle looks better!
There are further details on my blog if you want to know how I created this tag. Thanks so much for looking. I'm looking forward to seeing your tags over the next few days too.
