Wings

¡Hola!  Hello!  For the "wings" theme, I decided to design another tag to add to my "Lotería" (Mexican bingo) series.  As I explained when I started the series, the game is played with a deck of illustrated cards that are numbered, instead of with a set of plain numbered ping pong balls or game pieces.  I decided to illustrate "La Muerte," or death, which is traditionally represented in Mexico by a skeleton holding a sickle.  However, I illustrated my skeleton with wings, to represent the Angel of Death.  Some Christians consider Michael to be the angel of death who leads souls into eternal light.  However, I felt my illustration gave it a much more whimsical approach, especially with the addition of a heart on his forehead.  LOL!

I can't wait to see what everyone else has designed, so I'll come back later to peruse the blog and leave comments.  Thank you for all your kind words on my last post.  Blessings!

  12. This is a wonderful addition to your series. I always enjoy hearing the story behind your tags. The addition of the heart on the skull reminds me of a sugar skull.
