HALLOWEEN

Bonjour!

Happy Halloween to everyone.  I have made a fairly simple tag this week.  The background was inked with TH distress stain in dusty concord, spiced marmalade and rusty hinge.  The images and paper lace were die cut and then I made some word banners - finished off with some fibres from my stash and another of my cobweb charms.

It is the tradition here in France to place chrysanthemums on the graves of deceased relatives on All Saints Day (November 1st) and the shops are full of magnificent displays of these plants in the most stunning colours.  It has to be seen to be believed!!

Hope everyone is having a happy and creative week.

A bientôt

Carolyn xx

  5. The background you created has so much depth and really has the feel of an eerie evening sky. I also enjoyed reading about the French tradition of placing chrysanthemums on graves during All Saints Day. Blessings!
