Black and White

Please forgive me; I've been a Very Bad Tagger just lately - I've let far too many other things get in the way, but I've given myself a good talking to and have promised to pull my finger out from now on! I won't try to catch up the ones I've missed - I'll concentrate on getting ahead instead!

Without further waffle, here's my black and white concoction ...

I started off by trying to create and black and white collage by stamping onto white card, but it looked a bit naff, so I decided to cover it up! I dug through my scraps drawer for oddments of ribbon and lace, added some flowers, feathers, a butterfly sticker and some dangly tags at the bottom and it was a great improvement as you now can't see the naff stamping at all! Here's a closer look ...

One of my favourite discoveries this year is Golden Heavy Gel Medium - if you haven't tried it yet, you should. It's an adhesive medium which has a paste-like consistency and holds its shape - so it works really well when you want to create 3D clusters of flowers and so on. You can just blob it on with a lolly stick, your finger or whatever and bingo! It just holds in place - I've used it successfully on fabric, paper, card, metal and plastic and it's not let me down so far. I'm sure there are lots of other things you can do with it too, but I haven't tried them yet. There are lots of Golden tutorials on YouTube though, so watch this space!

Ok, that's it for now - I want to have a wander through and see all your amazing creations and then I'm going to make my angel ready for next week :o)xxx
