Black & White

I love black and white photos. It just happens that this photo for my black and white tag is from circa 1975 and was taken in black and white for my high school yearbook. That is me (dark hair) on the left knitting with some friends in a classroom one day. Yep, I loved knitting even then. I was a freshman in high school, and the little blonde girl on the right was one of my high school besties, Teresa. I found her only a couple of years ago through our high school reunion facebook page, and then we got to see each other at the reunion. She is such a sweetheart and still beautiful too. Facebook keeps us in touch now!
And, for a little bonus, here is my stitching tag which was meant to be posted last week! Here's the thing, as usual, I get all ambitious and I think "Oh, I'll embroider my whole tag for stitching week..." then, you know what happens. Busy week at work, busy at the house, shopping to do, cleaning, family stuff, and wallah. I'm still embroidering that tag seven days later! But I did indeed finish it, and here it is. Ahhh. And now, it's time to start cooking for Thanksgiving! Have a wonderful holiday everyone.

  14. Great idea to use a black and white photo for the focal point of your tag. How clever to stitch it and make two tags in one! I really like your colourful stitched piece too.
