Starry Night

Greetings!  Although I love Advent's events leading to Christmas, it's always an extremely hectic time of the year for me at school.  Therefore, my tag is very simple this week, but never the less, very heartfelt.

I began my tag by using a Tim Holtz carved ornaments die and a Fiskars punch to cut the tag form out of kraft cardstock.  Then, I distressed the upper portion with blues from a Color Box ink pad and the bottom with a white Ranger Dabber.  Next, I used a Sharpie micron pen to sketch the simple nativity scene silhouettes.  To add some dimension and spark, I added a metallic star of "Bethlehem" and highlighted it with some star dust Stickles.  I finished up the ornament look with some foil on the top, which I embossed by hand, as well as by adding a wire loop.  I added a red bow for a more festive feeling.

Thank you for all your gracious comments on my tag last week.  I thoroughly enjoyed perusing through your beautiful tag designs and leaving comments too.  May you and your family be blessed with a holiday season filled with love, joy and peace.

  7. You say it's simple, but I see many lovely, well-composed details. This is so pretty, and it looks great against that background page!

  8. Arnaldo,
When I saw the thumbnail of your tag this is how it looked. The red bow, a covering of the Precious shed Blood, the stars, as themselves or Angels, the Star of the East pointing the way to the Holy Family and birth of our Saviour. All this on a tag and an ornament reminding us to celebrate His birth. "Come and be born in my heart Jesus", let that be the prayer of many. Thank you for joining us today at Word Art Wednesday.
