Insects

Hi Everyone!
What great Heart tags last week! I am sorry I didn't get around to commenting on them.
I have been watching too much of the Winter Olympics! My favourite was the Ice Dance, it was fabulous!
Here in the Thames Valley, we have been having the most terrible weather, rain, rain and more rain, with a few gales thrown in for good measure. We live only a few minutes walk from the River Thames, but fortunately we are up on a hill. The river has spread all over the low lying ground, and is encroaching into urban areas. I really feel for those people who have been affected by the floods .
There is a glimmer of hope on the horizon, though, signs of Spring are beginning to appear. Lighter evenings and mornings, birdsong, snowdrops, crocuses and even daffodils are all signs of warmer (and let's hope, drier) weather.
I found a ladybird on my kitchen windowsill yesterday, and so I decided to make a ladybird tag.
It is a very simple one . I used printed  red card stock and buttons for the insect, then placed it onto a garden themed background, all set off with a spotty border.

  1. Love your ladybird, Jane! I too found one on my windowsill yesterday. Hope your weather improves soon. We are all moaning about the rain here in my corner of France but then I feel quite humbled when I see whats going on when I watch the English news. Good luck! Carolyn xx

  2. So sorry that your weather has been so awful. I too have been glued to the Olympics-especially the curling.

This is a beautiful idea for a tag and fancy you having seen a ladybird so early.

  7. The weather reports are just awful for your part of the country. Lucky you could play with a ladybug on your tag as they would all be well and truly hiding out there in your garden.

  11. Your tag brings sweet thoughts of better weather to come! We have not had any winter here in Southern California and hardly any rain either. Sorry that you've had too much. I hope we all see positive changes soon!
