insects

Bonjour all my tag friends!

A bit of a strange tag for me this week.  For the past few days I have been experimenting with image transfer techniques with the idea of making some shabby chic French wooden plaques to sell (its NOT going well!!)  I downloaded some lovely butterfly images from the Graphics Fairy and had some spares lying on my desk so I though I would transfer them to fabric using TAP for my tag.  I added a bit of detail with stitching and some metal butterflies.  Not particularly happy but, hey ho, it'll have to do!!

Hope you all have a more successful creative week than I'm having - I'll just have to persevere!!

A bientot

Carolyn xx

P.S.  New themes for March in the sidebar!

  1. Poor you Carolyn--hope the rest of the weeks gets better for you.

I just love this beautiful tag and it can't be easy to work on fabric as you have done.

I don't know what TAP is though

  2. Hi Chrissie - TAP is Transfer Artist Paper by Lesley Riley and is fantastic stuff - you print your image onto it and iron it onto your chosen medium - fabric is easy but non porous surfaces I am finding more difficult - hence the frustration with the wooden plaques!

  4. Hi Carolyn , the images you've transferred are great . This tag is very beautiful. Hope your experiment with TAP gives you the results you want. my previous attempts have been varied, but someone told me that perhaps my paper was a bit old when I had a less than desirable result. I didn't know it could deteriorate until I read the information sheet and instructions !
