Eggs

 When I was little, an Easter egg hunt was just that--a hunt for eggs: boiled eggs. We had spent an afternoon or two dying dozens of eggs into fun colors, and then they were hidden for our egg hunt in the backyard. (I remember Mom even hiding some in a pocket of an apron on the clothesline once!) Our candy was, of course, delivered by the Easter bunny in an Easter basket with all sorts of other lovely little things. I've always carried on this tradition with all the little ones in our family with fabulous baskets full of goodies and egg hunts every year--only we use the plastic eggs and put candy and little toys inside! I don't know why the eggs make us so happy, but they do. And boiled, decorated eggs never go to waste--they go right in an egg salad! 

I really had fun making this tag, because it's all done from scraps, and some little diecuts I acquired a decade ago. I never really liked them that much and they were stowed away--but then I decided to emboss them, and it made all the difference. There's even a little twig here from the backyard.
