School Days

I finally made a tag on time again! Hurray!!!! Thanks everyone for the sweet comments you left for my young, 13-yr-old friend. She is a delightful "surrogate" daughter, and her face just lit up with your kudos.

For this week's tag I tried to incorporate elements of school days, like chalkboard, initials carved into a tree, rulers, and a school girl at recess, I think! The wood grain stamp is from Stampin' Up, and it has become a go-to for me.
I stamped the girl on mixed-media paper, and then fussy cut and colored with water color pencils. The paper is very heavy card stock and has a flat surface made for water or emulsions. This is the first time I've used it, and I really like it!  Thank you for looking. I am going to try to comment on all your tags this week!

  8. This tag brought playtime at primary school straight back to me. Not an easy feat after .. mumble mumble .. years, lol. I remember bouncing little rubber balls against the school walls or trying to juggle with them. Lovely, happy tag.
