White On White

Happy Tag Tuesday everyone! I hope you are well, happy, and busy creating! I have to confess, this is one tag I would have never created on my own without the Tag Tuesday prompt. I really had trouble imagining how I would be able to create anything out of all white! But then I got out my diecutter, started embossing things and adding texture, and really had a good time with this. My base is one of those vintage file folders I have with the ugly metal tabs and I gesso them or paint them in white and other colors to use for art journals and things, so it was a fun base to work with, since the white washing is not a pristine white. The same thing with the white vintage buttons from my jar of buttons that belonged to my great Aunt Sis. I'd call them "aged white." Then there's my master flaw in the whole thing - my backwards "a" of course! Those letters are from a sizzlits diecut, and they were so fussy to glue, I didn't even realize my "a" was backwards until the photo shoot was over. I love a master flaw! See what fun I had? I hope you did too and can't wait to visit. Cheers and hugs!

  4. I really like what you have done with this theme - and I read "dream" even before noticing the 'a' ... and I love your inclusion of "aged" white.

  5. Your tag is adorable, all those gorgeous embossed textures! The starry 'dream' is so pretty, I didn't even notice that the a was the wrong way round. I was just smitten by the tiny dangly stars.
