It seems like the last few weeks have been very busy for all of us. I have loved the themes and have been sad not to have time, or energy, or desire to make anything. I miss your beautiful art and all the comraderie we have here! For this week's tag, I had some of America's patriotic holidays in my head, and I wanted to use a new stencil from Tim Holtz. I started with white card stock, and spritzed a red ink and water mixture onto the stencil. Then I spritzed walnut ink to age it. I stamped the rose in navy blue and colored with pencils. I really am happy with the patriotic, retro look of this tag! (It looks so much better in person!) (Update: I took a picture in better lighting, so now I'm a bit more satisfied!)
