Japan

Thank you everyone for the lovely comments on my Garden Party tag last week, I really appreciated it.  Weren't there some beautiful garden party pieces here?!  I'm sure we could have decorated somewhere beautifully with all the ideas posted.

Now this week, I have gone uber quick and easy, mainly because it's school holiday time and so crafting time is minimal. At first I didn't have a clue what I was going to do, I've been racking my brain since the theme was posted. I don't have any Japanese style stamps or papers, so I didn't know what to do. And then, the other day, I got a package from Japan..........

..............some Washi Tape. I like washi tape. A lot. Washi Tape originates in Japan and is like very pretty masking tape. Washi paper - Wa meaning Japanese and shi meaning paper - is typically made from natural fibers such as bamboo or hemp, but most commonly from the bark of trees that are native to Japan - the mulberry, the mitsumata shrub or the gampi tree. Washi tape is made from rice paper. If you would like to read more about it, you can, here. What I used on my tag are the newest members of my collection. I also made the tie from some of the fencing tape. Thank you for looking. See you again soon. Take care *hugs* x

  7. I love the design of the washi tape you have used, I have never seen that one before. I only have a few rolls of very simple washi tape, but I do like it a lot.
