India

Ever since I went to an amazing Indian wedding many many years ago and got to wear a sari, I have loved them, the gorgeous colours, the beautiful designs, the fabulous drape of the fine silk. So my tag had to have an image of an Indian lady in a sari. And because I love love love recycled sari ribbons, I made a bunch of sari ribbon roses, totally inspired by the beautiful sari ribbon roses my much loved friend Suzy from Suziqu's Threadworks had shown in a recent blog post. The background is a delicate Indian design, and I added a couple of stamped Indian motifs -

  2. Fabulous, love the colours, composition - everything. I have tried to make roses from sari ribbon, and it just looks like sari ribbon wound up. Will have another go.
