Blues and Feathers

popping by at the eleventh hour with my tag for "blues"

my blues tag has a royal London theme
which fits in with my wreck this journal project on my own blog

it's a collage of assorted papers, ribbons, washi tape, stamps
denim fabric and some blue mussel shells and
a label from a pair of jeans which accidentally went through the wash cycle

sorting through my box of shells I found these lovely pieces of blue pottery
so I made a very simple tag with the pottery pieces

with a matching blue and silver ribbon

also catching up with my feather tags from the week before ...

this was a print from my gelli plate

we have the decorator in our house at the moment
and I was intrigued by some paint he was using ...

he gave me some "aluminium primer" to try printing with
I was delighted with the metallic silver sheen

you can see a little of the paynes grey underneath the silver "aluminium"
but I hope you can see the metallic sheen as well

thank you for all your comments on previous tags

it's so lovely to see all your tags and to welcome new members to the group
best wishes, Carolyn S xx

  1. Hey Carolyn, how perfectly wonderful to see you here. And it's also wonderful to see your tags. Beautiful blues and and the feathers are fabulous!
Maybe one of the work men would be willing to part with some of their white silicone, if any is being used that is, lol. I've heard it makes great texture through stencils instead of embossing paste. ((hugs)) xx

  2. Simply gorgeous, Carolyn. I love each of them but I'm a huge fan of simple lines, so my eye gravitates toward the whites. My favorite tag style is actually white with either a sketch or a stamp. LOVE!
