Hi Everyone!
I have been AWOL for a few weeks,
as I have been busy exhibiting my stitched
textiles work in our local open studio show,
called Caversham Arts Trail. You can read about
it and see photos on my blog if you would like to
know more.
It is nice to be back with you on Tag Tuesday!
Here is my Symmetry tag!
I used an Indian wood block which I have been
using for printing on fabric in my stitched
textiles work. I love the shape of the block, and
the fact that it is hand carved means it
feels good to hold and work with.
I printed the block onto painted paper and added it to
a printed tissue paper pattern mounted on card. For the borders
I used some of my new washi tape collection ( 8 new designs
in a box from Paperchase, watch this space, I will most definitely
be using them all!) I topped it off with some gold braid to give
a wow factor.
Terrific tag with wonderful patterns and colours

Very, very beautiful! :o))
ReplyDeleteHi Jane , What a lovely tag... besides the symmetry it has a very exotic touch - certainly has the wow factor. I checked out photos on your blog too congratulations -I think an open studio exhibition is even harder than having one in a gallery.
ReplyDeleteHello Jane Your tag is bright, cheery and has a warmth to it .Suits the theme well
