I remember when........

I married my husband straight after several years of travels. We'll be celebrating our 9th anniversary next month, and next week will be 10 years since we met......   during my travels. I remember when I was a size 8 (that's a small clothing size in Australia) - at the registry office  LOL. Our actual wedding bands are made from surgical steel, we picked them up at the local market a few days after the registry office. I am waaaaaay off a size 8 now (and with good reason - I'm married), so the ring no longer fits. Can't extend it, as surgical steel can't be cut.
So on my tag I have quilled rings (and, yes, they fit). They're from gold gilt-edged 3mm (1/8") quilling paper. The rings sit on a twinchie made from cardstock I marbled with gold acrylics. All sitting on a tag I found in a scrapbooking collection I won last year. Thought it's a fitting tag with all the visa stamps - it's like my passport.......   no, my passport is heaps better. I also found a tattered ribbon that I just had to use here. Rubbed on transfer of the word 'remember', then scratched some off. You can see some of my reminiscing scribbling in the corner of the twinchie, where I'm remembering my old size   :)
BTW, the scrapbooking collection I won was for this quilled piece and the twinchie with the rings is taking part in Two by Two Tuesday this fortnight, where the prompt is 'Treasure'. Couldn't resist all the plugs.
