Pastel

When I saw the prompt for this week's tag I immediately thought of an plain paper tag I received with a gift a couple of year ago.  It has a soft lavender base and Spencerian-like filigrees, as well as round yellow flowers, in the background.
I added some embossed roses and a landscape scene at dusk that I salvaged from some antique postcards.  The roses are exactly what I think of when I hear the word, pastel.
All the lace I used is vintage; I love the soft lavender of the rescued lace "curtain" above the landscape scene.  The tatting I used on the bottom of the tag is nicely aged and goes well with the frills on the paper.
I chose a pale pink etched button that I thought continued the spirals of the script background, and the round yellow flowers on the paper.
Also, some pale yellow buttons in a row.  The ribbon is some I had hand-stitched to gather so it looks "ruffly."  The bottom of the tag is decorated with pink crepe ribbon.

  5. Hi Laurie
Love the soft colours of the roses - yes, I think of flowers just like these when I think of pastels, too.
