Shakespeare

Great to see more tags for the Shakespeare theme.... I admit I am "killing two birds with one stone" this week. For the 29 Faces Challenge , I am doing a "Worldly Women"  series of pen and pencil sketches on tea bags , so here is one I did today, inspired by French female actor and theatre manager, Sarah Bernhardt, allegedly " one of the most famous actresses of all time". She  is one of the eight well known women who have played Hamlet. Sarah Bernhardt played Hamlet on stage in 1899 and  while not the first woman to be cast as.Hamlet, she was the first woman to act as the leading character in a film version of Hamlet in 1900.  This tag is a dried, emptied, used tea bag, with a drawing using felt tipped pen and Prismacolor and Water Colour pencils.

  4. Hi, Heather, I wanted to stop by to thank you for visiting my blog and also to take a look around your blog. I love your work and this tag is fabs. I love the palette and really enjoy how you managed to incorporate a bit of whimsey into this Shakespearean theme. It is sad that people take Shakespeare so seriously all the time when much of his work is very tongue in cheek (not Hamlet, though:D) Great project all around!

You teabag technique if amazing...I simply must give it a try!

  8. Your "little works or art" as you so aptly put it are absolutely wonderful. A great theme you have chosen -- when I get settled I will 'play' with you more. A really lovely tag, great colours and drawing. Thanks for dropping by my blog -- so appreciated. Hugs, Donna
