Shoes

Between my mother, my wife and my 2 daughters, I've been exposed to plenty of ladies' shoe stores in my lifetime.  Although none of them wear high heel shoes on a a daily basis, they do like to wear them on special occasions.  I was inspired by the kind my girls would prefer, because they're so much more dramatic.

These were fun, fast and easy tags to make.  The tag bases came from some mats I cut for a couple of other projects, so all I had to do was punch a hole to the tops.  I glued some scraps of newsprint to them to make the pair cohesive.  Next, I designed the shoe patterns, traced them on the paper, fussy cut them, drew the pen line detailing, and embellished them.  I glued a shoe to each of the tags, as well as a store bought die-cut flower.  I cut a strip of old packaging ribbon in half and tied a half-bow to each of the tags.  Done!

I used to be the art director for a small chain of department stores, so these tags brought back some fond memories.  However, I have to thank my 2 girls for keeping me up-to-date on the latest women's fashions.  Blessings!

  3. Lovely tags, being 6 foot tall I could never get on with heels, my girls are all taller than me now ( I'm shrinking I'm shrinking!) but they never seem to worry and can manage them!

  14. Wonderful tag, love the designs. I take a size 2 1/2, so shoes have always been a problem for me. I'd fall flat on my face wearing the ones on your tag.
