The "Myths and Legends" theme gave me an opportunity to work on a new original design for my "Lotería" series, the Mexican version of "Bingo." This game of chance is played with a deck of cards instead of with numbered ping pong balls. I began working on the series on July 31, 2012, here at Tag Tuesday, when we were playing with the "Mermaids" theme. Thus far, I've completed 11 of the 54 cards in the deck. Yeah!

I present to you Atlas, the primordial Titan from Greek Mythology who held up the celestial sphere. He is also considered the Titan of astronomy and navigation. In the game of "Lotería," the card depicting him is titled "El Mundo," which means "The World." I used a travel themed cardstock print to die cut my base and edged it with a blue ink pad. I did my drawing on watercolor paper, inked it with micron pens, and colored it with watercolor pencils. I completed my design with a hand lettered tab, a stapled DYMO number banner, and a knotted strip of cording.
I hope you enjoy my tag as much as I enjoyed working on it. Thank you for all your encouraging words during my last tag. Blessings!
