Greetings! I want to begin by apologising to Carolyn for not posting a "clock" inspired tag last week. I had 3 clock faces that I got from a friend that owns a thrift store, but never had the time to work on the tag or even take a look at my team members' work.

For this week's tag, I decided to focus on the leaves and acorns. In my garden, there are a couple of beautiful live oak trees that are shedding acorns galore. Although I don't like acorns falling into my swimming pool, I do appreciate their beauty. Therefore, I took a few of them to use as subjects for a crayon drawing. After I completed it, I scanned the piece and made a print to use in my tag design. I began by trimming the top of the tag with some K&Company rub-ons. I mounted my print under the latter. Next, I made a label and used my calligraphic skills to write the word "Grow." I believe this is a good word to remind whomever the recipient of this tag is, to "Grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ," as stated in 2 Peter 3:18. I finished the tag by distressing the edges and adding a simple strip of twine.
Once again, I apologise for my lack of participation last week. I can't wait to see what everyone else created this week. Blessings!
I too was missing last week so we can sit on the naughty step together.
ReplyDeleteYour acorns are very realistic. I can draw from a picture of an acorn but not still life so admire those that can. Mrs A.
