Travel

Except for the Northwest, I've traveled to every other region in the United States of America.  I've also traveled from coast to coast in Mexico.  Although I have friends and family who live in various other countries around the world, I've never had the privilege to travel to see their home countries.  Therefore, it is my goal in life to travel from "Coast 2 Coast" to visit various countries around the world.  God willing I will attain my goal someday.

For the travel theme, I designed a travel journal tag, which I titled "Coast 2 Coast."  I started by cutting my cover and a signature (folded pages) using a Tim Holtz Tiny Tabs & Tags die.  I decorated the cover with various K&Company ephemera, as well as with paper airplanes which I hand cut and decorated.  As a finishing touch, I added a bead of paint to each of the stylized flowers.  Next, I trimmed a label to use as my title page and bound the booklet with a strip of jute twine using a larks head knot.  As to the photograph, I stylized it with a Tim Holtz compass face, as well as with vintage miniature train and globe toys.

I want to welcome all of our new tag members to this talented group of artists.  I also want to thank everyone who took the time to leave a comment regarding my humble offering to the "Fish" theme.  In closing, I leave you with the quote by Saint Teresa of Avila, "Anyone who truly loves God travels securely."
