Well, my tag is actually Black and White with a splash of red. I apologise, but I tried using different black and/or white embellishments, including a white flower and a white heart, to no avail. My design needed a simple focal point that stood out.
I began by cutting a black tag base with a Tim Holtz die and embossing a white panel to glue to it. Next, I pieced a smaller panel on a strip of black cardstock with three different black and white prints. I attached it to the tag with foam pieces. Then, I embellished the top and bottom paper prints with fabric flowers and letter beads. As a finishing touch, I added the red felt heart and a herringbone ribbon tie to the top.
I truly enjoyed working on this challenge, even though I feel I failed it. I can't wait to see what everyone else did. Blessings!
Lovely. crisp tag. Valerie
ReplyDeleteThis is lovely Arnoldo. I added a touch of colour to my tag too - without it it just all seemed to blend together.
ReplyDeleteYour tag looks terrific and the wonderful background you created did need something as a focal point and what could better than a heart.

ReplyDeleteVery nice! Love the crossword puzzle-- clever!
ReplyDeleteA wonderful tag, Arnoldo. You were so right to add the pop of red - I wanted to do this to mine but seeing as I set the theme I thought I'd better not - I forgive you though!!! Carolyn xx
ReplyDeleteThe pop of red is just right, love the other elements you have used, a great tag. x
ReplyDeleteThe red sets off your fabulous tag. love it.
ReplyDeleteWell done Arnoldo I like the touch of red
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful! I love the red heart. Gorgeous!
ReplyDeletethis is NOT a fail! it is gorgeous. i love the music and game piece bits and the red heart is exactly what the piece called for. xo
ReplyDeleteWow! this is simply stunning, I love it! :o)
ReplyDeleteIsn't it amazing how the smallest touch of colour on a black and white design just jumps right out at you? I love the contrast of the quite geometric background designs and the soft flowers and heart.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful tag and the red heart is well judged just to lift it, but not take away from the monochrome.
