Hello Everyone. This week my tag was conceived when I discovered the image, put safely away a very long time ago, when on a search for something else. (Still not found)
The image is by Australian artist, Margaret Preston and is entitled "1920's Flapper". I imagine that I kept it as Margaret Preston was much better known for her lino cuts. There are not many paintings to be seen.
Margaret Preston was quite radical in her day as she focussed on Australian images and locations at a time when all things British were considered "best".
My 1920's Flapper is remarkably modern. The tag is an advertisement for her fledgling design business.
She would have been very daring indeed to have stated so clearly that "My Creativity is Limitless"
I enjoyed this theme as I was able to combine so many different stamps and elements. The black and white kept it restrained.
I'm kicking my creative spirit into high gear with all sorts of Christmas preparations and inky finkers are certainly the result.
I love how making, both stretches me and also satisfies like nothing else can!
