White: On The Wings of Angels

When I think of all white, I think of heaven and angels. This tag is the result of those thoughts, as well as my passion for anything angelic. I started with a piece of white, pearlescent, iridescent high gloss paper. Next, I embossed an angels wing on the paper and framed the edges with a glittery velvet ribbon. I added the glittery white snowflakes to the edge and glued pearls to the center of each snowflake. Under and to the left side of the embossed wing, I created layers of feathers: die cut heavy white feathers, with a layer of real white feathers, a layer of smaller die cut feathers and a veneer of soft, fluffy pinfeathers. Where the feathers met the paper, I created an extension of the base of the wings using flat oval pearls and oblong drop pearls. As a final touch, and to balance all of the work on the left side of the tag, I dropped curls of iridescent beads.
Special thanks to Mary Ann W (my beloved baby sister) for some of the materials and for taking the pictures.
