I made these two gift tags last month for a swap partner so they are out of my life forever and I really loved them. I chose these selfishly so I personally could just enjoy them a moment longer.
These are brand new but made/designed to look as old as the hills. I painted the images with acrylic on to used tea bag paper and adhered them to coasters. Then I gouged them mercilessly with a knife; then sanded, holding nothing back, with grit paper. They looked 'beat up' enough by then.
Then I added glitter snow, and a few words that I'd typed on to an old book page. Then Tim Holtz came in to play. These tags got the real treatment. Smudged to within an inch of their lives with brown. Then I re-coated some plastic branches with glitter and after tying them on to the coaster, gave the whole edge their coat of glitter.
I think they would decorate a gift marvelously, don't you think?
Oh, these are wonderfull! Oh, my heart sings when I see this, really nice!
