Vintage

The variety of different interpretations of a theme are endless on this blog! There are some lovely vintage tags already ladies. Here is my offering this week.

The tag is a recycled Next clothing tag which already has a vintage look to start with and has some black printing on it which shows through. I thought I would use a great bit of scrap vintage lace hanging about on my desk, together with a gorgeous image I had printed off for something else! To tone in with the image, I had just the right shade of scrim, which is actually lint given to be by a radiographer in the scanning department of my local hospital when I had to have something nasty done last year. I had commented on the unusual colour of the lint and how great that would be in my crafting - she gave me nearly a whole packet!!

Anyway, I digress. I then added a velvet flower at the top and used an old brooch which has a stone missing but still looks ok (I think). I added two bits of a coat tag chain which had broken, a rusty photo corner and I am pleased with result.

PS Sorry if I haven't commented on everyone's tags, I did start but ran out of time as there are so many members now but I think all the tags are inspirational and I really love looking at them.

  6. I think the brooch looks all the better for having a stone missing - it just adds to the vintage look. Gorgeous tag.
