Vintage

Here's my tag-finally got it finished! The background of my tag was done with a "Bisque Pottery" type of technique; there is a great video HERE, showing how it's done. I've had the image of the sweet girl in a folder on my computer for a long time, and I can't remember where I got it--however, I'd be happy to share it with whoever would like it. It was a freebie, I do know that. Anyway, you can't see it well in the photo, but the ink I used on my tag background is a soft pink, and I highlighted the girls' cheeks and lips with colored chalks, and brushed the paper flower (which was a soft brown), with the same chalk. The buttons, pink seam binding, and words are all true vintage; the rest of the tag is "faux" vintage, I guess you'd call it! I LOVE everyone's vintage tags--they are all fantastic!

  5. Lovely lovely tag, and the best bit (apart from the gorgeous soft colours and clever bisque background) is the quote! It really gives the tag an extra 'ha'!

  7. Jann, it must be the moon phase or something but when I just looked at your tag I laughed out loud (well, snorted really) because I imagined this sweet thing (girl/woman) causing all sorts of trouble behind the scenes. Looking sweet on the outside but capable of deep sourness on the inside. I bet a character like what I described could be found in the oeuvre of English lit. somewhere!
