Vintage

(Player)
I didn't do much for this week's tag :o)

My son gave me a Ralph Lauren sportswear label
from his new top, and I liked that it already had a
vintage look, both in its style and
it was also rather beaten up
(that's TKMaxx for you!).

I stuck torn dress pattern paper to the tag,
and then did a gel transfer with the image of the
young man in sports gear (I have the original photo).
Unfortunately, this didn't work, as both the
image and background were too dark, grrrr!

Ok, so then I gessoed over the botched transfer
and stuck another copy of the image on top.
I tinted his clothes with Distress Inks
and added his cheeky pink cheeks.

The 'Bleecker' label,
which was originally stuck on the reverse of the tag,
was brought round to the front
and onto it I stamped 'PLAYER'.

Does this mean he is a 'player'
in the meaning of sportsman
or a 'player' with the lay-dees?!

You choose.

Thank you for looking,
I'll be round later to have a look at everyone else's.

  6. Joanna. It might not feel like you did a lot regarding this tag, but you did a whole lot to make it and it looks just great. Sometimes a whole lot gets done to something that in the end is a simple lovely work, don't you find? I am fond of his cheeks.
