This has been such a lovelyweek for me, so many beautiful tags to look at each day, plus the opportunityto play with all my vintage bits ‘n’ bobs. For this weeks Vintage Tag challenge, I have been sorting out my old buttonscollection. I did have a mixed bag ofold vest buttons in varying conditionsand sizes, but now I have four neat tags of buttons which makes them much easierto see and appreciate. The nicer buttonswere sewn onto copies of ‘The Lady Cardof Buttons’. The older, tattier ones were sewn onto plain manila tags. I included even those in bad conditionbecause they show the inside of the buttons. I stained the ribbon and string ties with tea for an antique look. I thinkthey make a nice addition to my otherbuttons – I’m going to frame them.

ReplyDeleteReally love your tags and the buttons. A button box was my favorite play toy. It wasn't as organized as your card, but it provided plenty of pleasure. I'm a button fan too. Great idea.
