WHITE

Hello all, ithas been so lovely to see all your tags these past weeks; sorry for not having time to comment on all ofthem, they are all so inspirational. After a couple of weeks of glitter and fancy embellishment, I have beencraving something more organic. Thisweek for the theme ‘white’ I went throughmy seashells collection, picking out the whitest ones. I mounted these onto ‘inchies’ of frostyvoile on buckram. My base tag was ofbuckram with a polka dot voilE layer on top. Although the shells were reallyquite white, they came out quite yellowish in the photo.

This led to achange of plan. I took some differentshells, this time thinking of texture rather than colour, painted them white and fixed them to another tag. The edge of the tags are trimmed with laceand decorative yarn, with a polka dot ribbon bow. I was trying to get the look of surf on theshore.

  8. I am well and truly humbled now. My first thought was to use shells, looked at my collection, couldn't see anything white and just dismissed the idea. And there you go and make the most fabulous tags with........... shells. I adore them, they inspire me.
