Hearts

I love hearts! Hearts can be depicted in so many ways - the variety on here already today is amazing and fabulous. Here is mine and with the month in mind, my theme is romantic.

I made my tag heart shaped obviously with card backing for support and made a patchwork paper background. I added various scraps to suit the individual pieces and a lovely vintage glass button. I cut out a scrapbook paper heart which appealed to me and went with my colour scheme and happened to rest it on the gingham scrap and thought it would be nice to have a few "streamers" attached. I therefore added some lace scraps and affixed it to the side of the heart. I found this pretty image of birds and thought that would look nice at the top and finished it off with some velvet and lace ribbon trim.

Close up of lower part of the heart.

My heart tag without any distracting background ephemera!

  11. I love the picture of the tag by itself, especially the birds and the colors. it doesn't need the ephemera because it it so pretty on its own.
