I have just brought an embellishing machine and so decided that I would challenge myself to use it for this weeks tag. So the offering is all about texture!
I layered up five hearts:
The first one was made on my new machine with pieces of silk and chiffon and ribbon embellished to within an inch of its life. Then I machine and hand embroidered and added bling, buttons and beads, such fun! The second one was pieces of chiffon and shiny foil adhered with a soldering iron and then a Tim Holtz die of a heart cut out of a certain well known coffee paper mug. The third one was a piece of glittered paper edged with aged mahogany distress ink and wings cut from the remains of the paper mug. I did drink the coffee first but it was a skinny latte honest! Then comes a crochet pink heart followed by a little wooden one that I painted with gold acrylic. I used red alcohol ink on the book ring to hold them together.
Superb tags everyone, this is the first blog I visit every day! x
