Lace

Well, what a week. No heating and no internet. I feel as if I've been living in the 18th century! This week I have made two tags and I couldn't decide which one to show you so here's both! The kitchen was the warmest room so I looked what I had in the cupboard and decided to dye some lace with a variety of food based products - not easy when everyone else also wanted to stay in the only warm room in the house! The second one is a lacewing. I first saw one of these little insects when I was little and I thought it was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen! Today we have been out in the snow, taking pictures and just enjoying the fact that the house is going to be warm when we get back!

  3. I love you two tags. Did you draw that picture of the lace wing fly? If so, it is amazing. Hope your house is nice & warm now. You can have my Australian heat if you like? :-)

  9. Brilliant idea! I always like making art with whatever happens to be lying around in the house. The colours came out really well. The lacewing is gorgeous!
