poetry

This week's double sided tag on poetry, one side a few words from a favourite poem and the
other a few words from a poem I wrote a week after losing my mother to Alzheimer's.
Raymond Carver's Late Fragment is a very short poem but very moving and poignant:
...to feel myself beloved on earth. My poem about my mum: ...a creative monotony which
become repeated acts of love. All hand embroidered with a few sequins and beads.
Many thanks for kind comments, hugely enjoyable challenge. Looking forward to seeing
all this week's literary gems, very best wishes, Valerie R
